# Model router

Call `jev_route_model` or `POST https://jevai.ai/api/v1/decisions/model-route`.

Send `task` and `models`, a list of 2–40 objects `{ "id", "notes" }`. Only include models the runtime can invoke. Optional: `stakes`, `constraints`.

Read `answers.model.choice`. It will be one of the ids you sent. If confidence is low, fall back to the product's default model instead of the top pick.
