# Research guard

Call `jev_check_research` or `POST https://jevai.ai/api/v1/decisions/research` only after evidence is already in context.

Send `claim` and `evidence`. Do not ask Jev to look anything up.

Read `answers.verdict.choice`: `supported`, `mixed`, `unsupported`, or `insufficient`.

Do not quote the claim as fact when the verdict is anything other than `supported` with high confidence. `answers.on_topic.noul` near 0 means the passage is the wrong evidence.
